1VJ front axle

Post by neale »

Does anyone have a 1VJ axle laying around, so they can give me the length and diameter, please?

Trying to work out whether I can make different front end bits to work together, and I only realised late in the piece that I hadn't factored the axle requirements into it :foot_tap:

Soooo. if anyone has the 1VJ front axle dimensions (and S10 if anyone has that) available and could share same, it'd be greatly appreciated.

1VJ front diameter is 15mm.
How did I find out??
Typed 'diameter' in the forum search box, top right.
Any one can do it.

If you have the bearing number for the S10, you can reverse engineer the diam from that, I suspect it will be 15mm also.

So I stopped worrying and lo and behold, things did get worse!

Thanks guys, I did manage to confirm that the diameter is 15mm, but the bigger question was actually the length, which I can't find anywhere.

255mm is the overall length
53mm is the fat hollow unthreaded length
177mm is the 15mm shank length
The rest is the threaded end
I just happened to have one handy while I'm waiting for my wheels to be built.

Thanks a lot Matt, that was what I was sorta hoping when I asked, that someone would have one out.
