Bearings

Post by Robbiedobbie »

I'd like to start buying parts for my 1991 3AJ (blue) to store away so when the rebuild starts i'll be ready to go. Essentially i'd like to squirrel away complete rebuild kits for the swingarm, both wheels, and the the steering bearings top and bottom, oh and i'd like new clutch friction plates :shades:

Its a big ask and i really appreciate your help. :thanks:

The front and rear wheel bearings are commonly used bearings available from most bearing specialists for under $5 each.
The steering bearings are in a similar category.

I am sure the part numbers have been mentioned here before. Use the search box on the top right to explore more. :sherlock:

All Balls do a kit for the swing arm.

So I stopped worrying and lo and behold, things did get worse!

Front wheel 6202/2rs (x 2)

Rear wheel 6203/2rs (x2), 6304/2rs

These bearings are exactly the same as yamaha use (Yamaha even use the generic number in their part numbers)

For example....
93306-30416-00 BEARING (B6304RS) $31.49 $23.57

But look at the price! :omg:
You can buy these bearings for under $5, I buy in bulk and pay $2 or $3!
