crash protectors?

Post by domtrails »

Hi well my bike is getting along nicely - back to original (when its back together i will post picks) with an original pipe and full carb/head rebuild.
However i am seeing pics of crash bars at the front of some Teneres and they look awsome. Does anyone know if they are comercially available or need to be made custom?

Link to an example:

Argh yes, engine protectors/bars. The 3aj I know of engineers/welders who have in the past made these, (in the bikes hay day) there is a guy on the HU forum, still got posted as for sale a 3aj, and I think he mentions who built and fitted his front and rear bars. Might be worth having a look.
Here you go, "Overland solutions" or http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/t ... e-uk-66724.
Plenty to hang one washing from, looks to me over the top (ott) or more weight than warrents, but I havent seen these other than in the photographs.

What do you think?
