Well some progress on the bike at last. It's up and running again. I've also got it to idle now but it is idling too low. It is idling at about 800rpm. I need to get it to at least 1000. At the moment if you blip the throttle it sometimes just coughs and dies. How do I get it to idle a little highter. I can't seem to adjust it any highter.
I have been adjusting the big knurled knob underneath the carb. Is there another adjuster? Like an air screw somewhere?

The mixture screw is under the left carb where it joins the mounting rubber but if your bike ticks over at 800rpm, it's probably properly adjusted.
The knurled knob that screws against the throttle plate (the bit that connects the cables to the carb) is where to adjust tickover
