When I was in Sweden I bought brake pads for my 3aj.

They were the wrong ones.

Now I'm in Russia, and really need brake pads but I really want the right ones.

Anyone have part numbers for front and rear brake pads for the 3aj?

turns out that Yuasa there is 5ah, and only good for the kick-start.

I got the Yuasa YB14L-A2 14.7ah

In Russia, it is 4,500 rub.

I have a cactus battery in my 3aj. Happens to the best of us.

I am in Moscow, and about to get a new one, and I have to lug the old one around with me because I don't speak Russian and I don't know any of the battery makers' specs for my battery. So I feel like a little list of makes ...

well, holy shit.

It turns out the problem was that the gear shifter was up too high!

I moved it down a notch or two on the cog/spline thing and now it is good (the lever was "interacting" with the engine case, which was inhibiting gear shifts)

simple fix: move the shifter.

My 3aj has a problem where all the Wells on the tank (holding bolts and seams of the tank itself)are failing.

This sucks as I'm about to drive into russia. ..

So, what tanks fit?does anyone have any ideas? (Or a tank for sale)

Turns out the chain was too tight. Seemed fine on the paddock stand (a brick), but when I was sitting on it, there was no slack.

So.. problem solved.

But, I am still interested for the torque settings on the pinch bolts, if anyone knows that.

now.. how do I mark this as solved?

also, I did the rear axle torque to 65Nm.. is that enough?

And.. lastly, the two little pins that pinch the axle closed at the very back - the pinch bolts, I guess they are (they're vertically oriented, about 60mm long). Do they have a torque setting?
