Re: Regulator/rectifier question
Hi Paul,
I did try to discuss the voltage sense wire in the previous post, the first part of the post was to give a little background to what led us to the voltage sense wire option, maybe I didnt explain myself correctly.
With ref. to the generator, it has 3 yellow cables carrying around 60 volts ...

Re: Regulator/rectifier question
Hi Paul,
From a previous bike ( Aprilia)which had lousy charge voltage going from the reg. to the battery, we found the 2x55watt headlight load was taken from the reg. output ( rather than the battery) and the cable going to charge the battery went a roundabout was which resulted in poor voltage ...

Re: NEED ADVICE - never happened me before
Hi Bosley,
I assume this happened with your new non brand starter solenoid. It links the starter motor directly to the battery with a plunger that joins 2 terminals when the solenoid is activated (push the starter button). Yours worked correctly the first time but remained in the down/on position ...

Re: NEED ADVICE - never happened me before
The Hitachi 150 amp one I bought before was to replace a low amp type (50amp) on a Aprilia Caponord. It was a common problem on Aprilia's from the early '00. I see the serial number on your photo is similar to the 150 amp version so it may be a Hitachi part you have. This extract from another forum ...

Re: NEED ADVICE - never happened me before
Hi Bosley,
Hitachi make one of the best starter solenoids, if you can get one with a rating of 150 amps it will last a lifetime. Lots of cheap brands out there that will burn out prematurely or even stick closed and ruin the starter motor and gear.

Rear shock
Hi gents,
Its my first post so its probably been covered before... but here goes,
The rear shock is Kaput. I got other shocks (KYB) reconditioned with a local suspension shop for around €145 with ok results, but with the old spring still fitted. In the 3AJ I think the spring is weak and soft so I'd ...
