Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

I got nick named Train Wreck when I hit the roo, this time I'm Mr One Percenter as the scapula represents 1% if bone breaks.
It was the ego charge if riding with other guys, chasing two others and knowing I had others behind chasing me, it was a crackin ride, no pun intended

Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

Well this is pretty fucked, being back on MTB as part of my recovery and was getting close to getting the tenere going again till last night when out on a night MTB ride with club and tried to knock over a tree with my left shoulder, broke my scapula and heaps of muscles like the rotator cuff. This ...

ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

Hi Aaron

Only time I noticed the Atlas Air neck brace was trying to look straight down at something like when your having a piss, or when looking around to check luggage. I've given up wearing the chest strap as once your helmet is on, it can't go anywhere. It just the right size to fit my noggin ...

ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

In QLD we can buy back a write off. The price is based on what pickles auctions give Youi for the write off. But not allowed to do that in NSW.
That's if its written off. Still waiting on bike shop assessment

Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

I've been quite jealous of your ride so far……not any more :hss: hitting a Roo is one of my worst nightmares. Never quite sure if going fast will work in my favour or slow, much like running through the rain or walking , you still get wet smile:

Hey Zonda, it was a great ride, if I was to do it ...

Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

I did have a few close calls, always do, I forgot to grab the GPS off the bike before I left it for recovery. I'm keen to get it back and check the log file for speed.

Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere

Thanks Zonda, I'm on my way back to Sydney with my sister to fly out in morning.
The roo come straight out like a missile at the very front of my wheel, I knew it was not going to be good, heavy landing on road clad in rail way ballast so I consider myself lucky.
I was even luckier to have a ...
