Hi Mezo, the same friend has blown the head gasket on his 1VJ and he wanted to know if you have to pull out the motor to fit a new gasket or not. Apparently some models are easier than others to do this?

Trying to find some for a mate. Am I looking for chicken teeth or might they be available from somewhere??

Thanx for the advice guys. I just had a look at the bike and it seems the nut between the two header pipes was loose again!! When I first got the bike this nut was also lying loose on the bashplate! This might be my prob this time.....hopefully.

Would something like locktite keep this nut from ...

What is the best method to fix headbolts that failed? I had helicoils put in in my 34L twice. First ones did not hold...too short apparently, 2nd time round fitted longer ones and :thanks: used threaded bolts to also tighten from the top, but seems they also failed now. Getting pretty tired of this ...

Any advice would be much appreciated. The 2 screws on my break fluid reservior are stuck tighter than a nun's .....! The screw heads are also a bit stripped. How do I get them loose without stuffing up anything??

Are these parts not pretty universal? Can another more recent model or even make bike's parts not work on my 34L?
