Anyone in the UK want my Tenere ?
Sadly and to my detriment I am giving up on my 3AJ running out of money patience and garage space - And have decided its going to probably be too big for me .
We could not get it started probably because It needs new carb boots as the old ones have perished

Carb boots
Been a while since i posted on here about my ongoing project 3aj but I have sort of made some progress - kind of anyway
Fuel tank cleaned out with vinegar and new seals fitted to the fuel taps.
New battery and spark plug purchased and fitted
But: Good compression but not starting
Mate came ...

I know this is a stupid question and asking it is really going to show my ignorance but..... On my 3aj how do you open up the seat so that I can access the petrol tank to remove it and access the battery compartment? I can see the brackets at the back and presume there is a technique / knack for ...

I know that I was very lucky more timing than anything . I was thinking about getting a bike and asked an old poker buddie what he was doing with his old one and he wanted the room in his garage and hey presto! It also included a cover, padlock and chain and nice givi box.

Hi All
This my first foray into this forum and in fact my first foray into motorcycles!!
I have just purchased from my friend a lovely 3aj which he has had covered in his garage for 10 years.
My plan is to get it back road legal (in the UK) and on the road , there does not seem to be much wrong ...
