Kitted out TT 600re

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j376/Evans51/IMGP0512_zpsa4b3290b.jpg [/URL]
Hi this is my TT 600 when I picked her up in England and rode to Spain where I was working.
I initially bought the bike to use while working overseas then strip and rebuild my 1VJ with the engine from this bike.
As ...

1VJ modern alternative

I got my first 1VJ in 1987 and have owned at least one since. However I'm working in Portugal and my Teneres are in a container in NZ. I needed something to get around on here
and bought a TT600re in England and rode it over. Then, as you do changed it to suit, Acerbis tank and bark guards, H4 ...

Re: Clearcoat carbon fibre tank protector

I've found silver twill ( glass cloth with an aluminium coating) available from Easy Composites ( as well as a variety of carbon twill weaves). I made a sample from the mould for my screen. Too bright for a screen in my opinion but great for a belly pan. A bit stiff to drape but keeps it's weave ...

Re: Clearcoat carbon fibre tank protector

Hi
I'm working on a project in Spain and on my bike here. I'm using the same technique as the tank protector to reinforce and enhance the plastics. Since there's quite a lot of clearcoat carbon on the bike I wanted to downplay it so used a matt finish. I use PPG matt as it's already pre mixed and ...

HID headlight with LED backup

I haven't time to try this at the moment but I've bought a HID headlight bulb conversion from ebay UK. It's plug and play and should give a really good headlight beam. If it is OK with the registration authorities I'm intending to use the HID on one headlight and a LED headlight bulb in the other ...

3AJ bits & pieces

I'm off overseas in September and am sorting out stuff I've taken pictures of the 3AJ stuff I don't want . Based in Auckland if anyone wants them then make an offer. There's also a original screen which I forgot to dig out.

Re: Clearcoat carbon fibre tank protector

This is the speedo rev counter cover I'm developing. I'll use larger leds in the original positions and smaller ones above the instruments. I find that with a full face helmet I don't always notice the lights in the original position.

Re: Clearcoat carbon fibre tank protector

I found having one light for indicating either right or left a bit pathetic of Yamaha. I drilled out the blank and stuck in a round of colored perspex then wired in left and right indicator lights .
I've made a tidy carbon housing for the speedo rev counter which I've not fitted yet. I'm going to ...
