I am finished with the bike, its hard to start and when its hot it spits back through the carb, i disconnected each trigger coil one by one when it was running, one slows down the idol and the other had no effect on running. I can only think the cdi is not retarding the spark.

I am giving up, I have had enough, its not my bike, it can be the next persons project

No dont know anyone with a cdi, basically i have traced it to the cdi box that guy made, its a hunk of shit witch doesn't work properly

There are 3 wires but one is an earth,

Swaped the 2 wires around that are for the trigger coils and it reves out now but its very rich, is it possible to drop the needle in the carb? I am guessing the last owner raised it to compensate for air leaks

It’s running now, engine seems goood, now to repaint and find a headlight bulb holder

When I can i will get oil and a filter and put some petrol in it and it should go.
