:thanks: Yep, he did a good job and I'm really happy with the results  . Hubs, parts of frame and sprocket carrier, infact anything that looked like it might have moving parts was has a generous coating of copperslip, including all the bearings. My preparation began and ended with degreasing, the blasting was all done by them. I had intended to do some of the prep myself but would have meant upgrading my compressor and spending a bit on new blast eqpt so i decided to let them do it. I may invest depending on how much i enjoy doing this one and if there will be any more………….

So in my haste to get my bits off to the powder coaters i didn't notice the snapped stud in the fork slider, and it seems neither did he !! :headslap:
it was easy enough to drill out though so no drama but a note to self not to get carried away with excitement and actually have a good old look at everything before I send it away !!

Image

All sorted now though, rebuilt with new oil and dust seals, new oil and Hagon progressive springs which are much stiffer now compared to the other set of original forks i have

Should be putting the yokes on next week and also fitting the newly laced front wheel, I had thought about new rims but I am really pleased with the look of the powder coating and new stainless spokes

A few more suspension bits arrived, hopefully now I can get a rolling chassis together before i go back to work

Image

A bit of an extravagance this one !!

Image

I had these Metzeler Karoo 3 tyres from a previous plan, has anybody used these? I am not sure i will keep them on, trying to fit was a complete bastard, getting the beads to seat almost impossible so not ideal for repairing punctures on the trail !!

Image

Shiny new bearings throughout.

Expensive !! :bigeek: :bigeek: yup, but hopefully thats the major ones for a while, the rest of the finishing, callipers etc I will be having a go at. I think money spent on suspension as always money well spent. I put some ohlins on a ktm a couple of years ago, the original wasn't bad, and pretty new but the difference was amazing.

And the wilbers is great colour match for the frame

You just need a tiger or leopard print banana seat and ape hanger handlebars to go along with the pedals. smile:
