XTZ 660 96

Post by phil w » Mon Sep 24, 2012 5:26 pm

I am putting my XTZ for sale
Madness from me, maybe. Mainly due to the fact I have been riding my Transalp to work and out and about and love riding it !! I do think Im genuinely a "Honda"man, but the Tenere is also a quality bike. More punch than the Transalp, but also similar in many ways , as is probably the case with any adventurestyle traily. Manages a touch less mpg than a Vtwin but has a greater range dueto larger tank, 220 miles easily achievable. This bike was on my dream list fora few years after spotting one on a weekend away, and took the opportunity to get one after I had ridden a friends. So really it boiled down to having 2 of the same bike really and 1 was always going to go, unfortunately Im more Honda than Yamaha
I am also hankering for another XR4... a bike Ive owned before and the one I have always regretted selling
So the XTZ
96 4MY model P reg
Tax and MOT
14600 miles, lowest I have seen on these and capable of massive mileages
Fully serviced, valves checked, carb cleaned, engine oil, air filter, plug, brake fluids, new pads, headstock bearings greased and checked swingarmgreased, all wheels taken off, checked and greased ,fork oil renewed.
New Hepco and Becker engine bars
seat re covered with new foam
New tinted touring screen
new renthals,grips and hand guards

Think thats pretty much it, that I can think of for now
£1600 ono

Hasty and irrational.. so no longer selling, going to try and get it to where it should be in my eyes and hopefully enjoy and shelve plans for another XR

 Where should it be in your eyes Phil?

I know what you mean about having multiple bikes that do the same thing, but you do have a great bike wanting to break free :nordie:
